I had a conversation with a few young fellow marketers last night.
One of them asked:
“Why many senior marketers would pull themselves out of the front-line jobs to become lecturers selling courses?”
I replied:
“Some of them switched their roles to cover up the fact that they can hardly learn new tricks.”
Sometimes I feel too old to learn new tricks too, really.
There’s nothing wrong to switch your role as a lecturer, and we are not asking a coach to stand at-bat. It’s my own choice to keep learning rather than sell courses, and I’ll honestly tell you “I can’t do that” or “I don’t know what that means,” step aside and then leave it to the real experts.
